Everything Travel Group Review
The Bridge Climb is a fantastic way to see the famous Auckland Harbour. The guides were really informative. Along the way; we learnt about the history of the area and some fascinating commentary about the construction. It’s nice to have an experience where you not only enjoy the day out but come away with some great memories. The guys at AJ Hackett do it again!
Suggestions: Definately worth booking in advance, it is often booked up on the day and on the day we went it was very busy.

Does the Auckland Bridge tour operate in windy or very wet conditions

Thank you so much for your enquiry. The Auckland Bridge Climb is weather-dependent. If it is too windy and rainy the operator might cancel the tour and you will either be able to reschedule or receive a full refund. We recommend bringing some wet weather gear in case the tour still goes ahead but its raining a bit

Can I take my own camera on the bridge climb?
Comments
Thanks for your questions. Unfortunately, cameras are not permitted on the Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb due to safety reasons, however, photos are taken of the experience for you along the way and you can purchase these at the end.
I am a bit surprised that cameras aren't allowed. Is this for safety reasons or revenue raising?
Hi there, the main reason why customers aren't allowed to bring cameras is for safety reasons. The NZ transport authority do not allow any foreign objects to be carried by anyone on the bridge as these could potentially be dropped and land on the cars below. So no cameras, phones, keys, wallets, jewellery etc. This is the same with the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb also.
I am a bit claustrophobic, are there any enclosed, dark or cramped spaces to go through.?
Sydney harbour bridge is a bit daunting on the approach and for some of it you have to walk backwards I think.... please let me know.
Comments
Thanks for your question. There are no enclosed dark or cramped spaces on the Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb. There are also no areas where you will need to walk backwards. You will be going through very open areas and it is quite different to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Can you see through the steps/walkways or are they solid?
Comments
Hi there! The Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb has mixed grounding. A lot of the walkways are solid but there are a few walkways and steps that are grated so you can partly see through them too.
