There’s something about a water touch bungy jump that makes it just that much more thrilling than a regular bungy. Whether it’s the cool, refreshing splash at the end of the jump or the fear factor of knowing that you are so much closer to the landing surface – it’s hard to put a finger on the reason; however, there’s only one way to find out!
As the most scenic bungy jump in the North Island, Taupo Bungy have certainly earned their good reputation. With over 28 years’ experience and over 400, 000 jumps, the friendly folk at Taupo are bungy specialists – particularly when it comes to water touches. In fact, Taupo Bungy have the highest water touch in New Zealand, at 47 metres! Whether you want to bungy solo or tandem, with a hand touch or a full submersion, you will be treated to the very best of care and safety, just like the thousands of other jumpers – of all ages and lifestyles – who have taken the plunge before you.
As you stand on the edge of the unique, cliff top cantilever platform, you will be able to witness the spectacular view of the Waikato River below – that is, if you can work up the courage to look down! Taupo’s awesome crewmembers are absolute professionals when it comes to helping you face your fears, so you will feel (and be) completely safe during your entire experience. As you make your jump, you will be amazed at how long the jump actually feels – your brain whirls at a million miles an hour as it takes in every sensation, every colour, and every second of terror.
By the time you are gently rebounded at the bottom of your jump, your terror has turned into total exhilaration, which will keep you on a high for hours – if not days – afterwards. There’s also nothing quite as satisfying as telling people afterwards “Bungy jumping? Yeah, been there, done that”.

Other Information
- Jump solo or tandem with a buddy!
- Combine the bungy with the Cliffhanger Swing
- All jumpers must be at least 10 years of age & weight a minimum of 45kg
- Maximum weight is 150kg per person and 180kg combined total weight for tandems. The harness must also fit correctly. The maximum weight difference between tandem jumpers must not exceed 30kg.
- There is spacious car parking on site
