Perfect for anyone 13 years and above with a sense of adventure, a You Fly Trial Flight could be the start of a new passion or even career. After meeting your highly qualified instructor at Kaikoura Helicopters, the helicopter experience begins with an in depth safety briefing and overview of your You Fly Trial Flight. Then it’s time to take control as your instructor guides you through the take-off for your helicopter flight. The Robinson R44 helicopter features dual controls, so you are in safe hands for the entirety of the flight.
Throughout your You Fly Trial Flight, master helicopter manoeuvres such as taking off, hovering, flying and landing. Soar over the beautiful coastline, dramatic mountains and Kaikoura peninsula while guiding the helicopter along your instructor’s chosen flight path. If you are lucky, you might even spot some of Kaikoura’s abundant marine life, such as sperm whales, Hector’s dolphins and fur seals. After landing at the Kaikoura Helicopters helipad, your helicopter flight is concluded with a debrief from your instructor.
