3 of us plan to go from Auckland to Rotorua on 10th November. Can we stay one night then go back to Auckland the next day?

Hi Lisa. There is a tour called the Hobbiton & Waitomo day tour from Auckland that you could book. You will be picked up from your Auckland hotel and then at the end of the day you can choose to get dropped off in Rotorua rather than coming back to Auckland the same day. You can then book a one way coach trip back from Rotorua to Auckland the following day with Intercity or Great Sights. The cost would be $309 per person plus the cost of the one way bus fare from Rotorua to Auckland the next day which costs about $25 each and takes 4 hours.
There is currently space on the day tour from Auckland to Rotorua for the 3 of you on the 10th November and you can book via the link below and we will email your booking confirmation straight back. I would advise booking asap as spaces are limited. You can then book a bus back via the intercity website for $25 (several departures daily).

Heya, The trip includes: Luxury coach travel from Rotorua, Informative driver commentary, Te Puia cultural centre, Rainbow Springs Nature Park, Agrodome, Sheep Show and a Hobbiton Movie Set guided tour. You can get picked up and dropped back off in Auckland, you can be picked up from some hotels that are central or alternatively the Skycity Coach Terminal. The departure time from Auckland can be as early as 7 - 8 am.
