Description
Spend the day exploring some of the world's most stunning scenery in two of New Zealand's most iconic landscapes.
Your scenic helicopter flight to Milford Sound departs from Queenstown. Along the way, you will see snow capped mountains, glaciers, lakes, braided rivers, rainforests and more, with interesting commentary from your experienced pilot.
Experience an incredible flyover of Milford Sound and marvel at views of the iconic Mitre Peak before flying back past sheer cliffs and gushing waterfalls out to the Tasman Sea. Your pilot will land the helicopter in a remote alpine location for a picture-perfect moment. After an incredible 1.5 hour experience, it's then time to fly back to the heli-base in Queenstown.
The second part of the combo is the Dart River Jet experience. Self drive or select a bus transfer out to Glenorchy (a 45 minute scenic drive from Queenstown). This is a thrilling jet boat ride on the Dart River, where your jet boat driver will navigate the boat through the braided river system of pristine waters in the World Heritage Area of the Mount Aspiring National Park. After all the excitement with Dart River Adventures, you can sit back, relax and take in stunning views on a scenic 45 minute drive back to Queenstown.
Please note this activity combo can take place in either order depending on availability, starting with either the Helicopter Flight or Dart River Jet. It can also take place over multiple days if you prefer, just let us know your preference upon booking!
