Get back in tune with nature while enjoying some good old fashioned fun! MDA Experiences invite you to join them on an amazing mountain bike ride, through some of the world's best mountain biking tracks.

Based out of the Mountain Bike Rotorua HQ located at the edge of the world-famous Whakarewarewa Redwood Forest MTB park, guides stand ready to get you out and explore the most extensive trail network in the country.  The beloved forest has options for all experience levels and the MDA Experiences professional guides are well versed at catering for all comers - from beginner right through to elite riders.  

The bikes used on your Redwood Forest mountain biking tour are the latest model premium full-suspension, and these are adjusted to your needs on the day, ensuring total comfort and impeccable safety during your ride. Your mountain biking tour is customised by your guide to deliver to your group's level of experience so that you all have the most enjoyable time possible.

Mountain bike riders come from near and far to take advantage of the amazing mountain biking trails that Rotorua City has on offer. With over 180km of exciting mountain bike trails located only five minutes from the heart of the city, there are plenty of biking opportunities for everyone – from beginners to advanced riders, family groups and solo daredevils. Your mountain biking adventure will last for 3 hours based on how the group is feeling and will take you through some of New Zealand’s most phenomenal terrain, allowing you to experience some of the world’s most beautiful scenery. The thrill of riding through the perfectly challenging terrain will leave you feeling happy and fit and provide many opportunities to restore your spirit.

Other Information

• The Redwood Forest ride is suitable for all bike riders
• Kids are welcome but there are no child rates available
• Minimum age 5 years
• You must know how to ride a bike
• We recommend closed in footwear (i.e. runners)
• Ideally, wear shorts & a couple of layers on the top half
• Bring some bottled water
• Scenic trail, cross country & downhill riding available as are shuttle uplift services
• Custom private options are available on request
