Friendly well organised staff. The tour was supposed to be 3 hours long, but we were only actually on the water for 2 hours. This point needs to be clarified on the website!

Thank you :)
Hello. What kind of kayaks are used? 1/2 persons? Is this suitable for a 5 and a half yo child? Thank you!

Yes, a 5-year-old can certainly kayak together with an adult in a double kayak at Kaikoura Kayaks.
Hi there, how dangerous is it for non-swimmers? Will the kayak tip over easily? Thanks for the info.
Comments
Hi Ellen, non-swimmers are more than welcome to kayak with Kaikoura Kayaks. The guides will paddle closely to your kayak and depending on the ratio you may even be in a kayak with a guide. For extra safety and comfort they can secure a tow line between your kayak and the guides kayak. The chance of capsizing is very minimal as you will not be in rough waters and the kayaks are very steady.
