Milford Sound is a 2 -2.5 hour drive by coach from Te Anau one way. So you drive 2 hours, do a cruise for a 2 hours then drive back to Te Anau afterwards. If you take the coach from Queenstown then its 12 hours in total as its 4-5 hours drive each way to Milford plus 2 hour cruise.
