Had the best weather for the year and do had a lovely smooth trip there and back. As a day tripper the bus tour of Stewart Island and the tour to Ulva Island made the best use of our day. Managed to see many different species of birds, which was a highlight for us twitchers.

We had a great day! The trip to and from the island was very pleasant. Weather was on our side. Di, who took us on a 90 minute tour of the area, was very hospitable, and shared her wealth of knowledge. We came away learning a lot and wanting to come back for a longer period of time. We enjoyed all the shops and restaurant hotel, again all the locals making us feel very welcome.

Very professional & organised with experienced, knowledgeable & friendly staff. We felt safe on the ferry sailings even though the weather was not the best. Our bus tour was excellent, fun & informative. Our boat ride & walking tour on Uval Island was also excellent, fun & informative.

I booked a combination tour but got my dates wrong! ENZ changed everything for me on Easter Sunday and kept me totally informed including trying to call me. The end result was a great tour two days later.

Went to Steward Island, the staff from Everything NZ made the trip perfect, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The skipper was great.

Query regarding combo Stewart island deal.
Ferry to SI departs 9:45 arrives SI 10:45 i.e. 1 hr
Tour A departs 11am and concludes 12:30 i.e 1.5hrs
Tour B departs 12:45 and concludes 3:45 i.e. 3hrs
Ferry departs 3:30 and arrives Bluff 4:30 i.e. 1hr.
QUERY. Ferry departs 15 minutes before Tour B concludes. Is this correct??
OR Will Tour B conclude to coincide with ferry departure i.e. 2.75hrs instead of 3hrs?
Tour does not allow for lunch so we bring our own lunch??
Is there a guide that meets us and takes us to and from the specific places on Stewart island. I ask this because the timing is really tight.

Thanks for contacting us about the Rakiura for a day' trip in Stewart Island. This trip is not completely guided, however, the 1.5 hour Village & Bays Tour & 3 hour Ulva Island Explorer are guided.
